I.R.I.E. Herbal Certification Program- Next Offering: January 10, 2018

Join us for the experience of a lifetime with our I.R.I.E HERBAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAM. With the course you will learn the science behind medicinal plants, their origins and how they are used for healing. In addition you will be able to use some of the most common herbs safely and confidently. This certification of completion will allow you to add herbs to any aspect of your life, whether personal or professional. This is a 6-8 month program. The tuition investment is $850. Flexible payment plans are available. Non-refundable deposit of $200, 5 payments of $130. There is an non-refundable application fee of $30. After the application fee is made, you will be redirected to complete the student application. All applications will be considered and approved by the Indigenous Remedies’ advisory team. Please allow up to 7 business days for a decision to be made.
 
Program outline:
Module 1: The Science of Creation- This class covers how plant life came to be. Students will have a clear understanding how humans and plants are alike and how they are different.
Module 2: Medicinal Systems from around the world- In order to move forward, one must honor the past. Students will explore the different modalities of healing and herbal therapy that the Ancestors used.
Module 3: Understanding plant parts and constituents- Students will discover just how plants work. This class also covers botany, including leaf structures.
Module 4: The 40 Most Common Herbs- This class will set the foundation for any herbalist. Students will learn in-depth the uses, properties and energy of each herb in order to build their herb cabinet.
Module 5: Systems of the Body- Now that students have learned their Materia Medica, this class will help them apply what those herbs to various ailments. This class covers basic anatomy and clinical application of herbs.
Module 6: Boosting Immunity for children, Women’s Herbs, and Men’s Herbs- Students will get specific with suggesting herbs for women, men, and children. This class also goes in depth with allergies and how to combat them.
Module 7: Herbal Preparations- Students will learn how to safely and confidently prepare herbal remedies. 
Module 8: The legal aspects and doing an herbal assessment- This class covers how to protect yourself as an herbalist, words that you can and cannot use, and how to confidently do an herbal assessment for clinical application.
 
This is a certificate of completion program. Students will need to successfully complete the course with a grade of 75%. Students will be expected to will complete 48 hours of class time and around 15 hours of clinical work. Upon successful completion of the program, students will obtain certification as Community Centered Herbalists (CCH).
Women’s Herbal Intensive- Next Offering: January 25, 2018

Join us for this 8 week course through the journey of womb health and wellness. This AMAZING course is designed for anyone who works/supports women, and/or is a woman, and believes in the power of plant medicine. The tuition investment is $350. Flexible payment options are available. Non-refundable deposit of $100, payment one of $125 due at the 2nd week of class, payment two of $125 due at the 4th week of class (there is no application fee).

Program Outline:
Module 1: Global Perspective of Women in Traditional Knowledge- This class will journey into the history of women in healing and herbal therapy, their importance and contribution to society.
Module 2: Plant Constituents and medical terminology- Students will learn the science of plant medicine and what medical terminology to look for as it pertains to herbal therapy.
Module 3: Women’s Materia Medica- This class begins the journey into the uses for herbs and how to apply them to women’s health. 
Module 4: Spiritual Anatomy and the Endocrine System- Students will go in-depth with the endocrine system and how it impacts a woman’s health. During this course, students will also learn the spiritual anatomy and how it impacts overall health.
Module 5: Herbal therapy for the Life Stages of Women- During this class, students begin the process of applying herbs to the life stages of women, menses, conception, pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause. Students will also learn about womb trauma and herbs for specific womb issues. 
 
Students will complete 16 hours of class time and roughly around 15 hours of study time, hands on learning and project completion. This is a graded course. Students will need to have a passing grade of 75% to receive certification. Upon successful completion students will receive certification in Herbal Therapy for Women’s Health and Wellness.
